Anti-Ragging Committee (2024–25)

S.R.M. College of Education is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and ragging-free environment for all students. The college strictly follows the UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions (2009; amended 2016, 2021, 2023).

Ragging of any form—physical, psychological, verbal, or online—is a serious offence and is strictly prohibited on campus, in hostels, or during any college-related activities.

Functions of the Committee
  1. Preventive & Awareness Measures

    • Conducts orientation sessions for new students.
    • Organizes anti-ragging workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns.
    • Ensures mandatory submission of anti-ragging affidavits by students and parents.

  2. Monitoring & Vigilance

    • Conducts surprise inspections of hostels, classrooms, canteens, and common areas.
    • Reports observations confidentially to the Principal for follow-up.

  3. Grievance Redressal

    • Maintains a confidential mechanism for online and offline complaints.
    • Ensures prompt and impartial inquiry into all reported cases.

  4. Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintains meeting minutes, compliance records, and quarterly reports.
    • Submits summarized reports to the Principal and Governing Body for review.
