Research & Development Cell (RDC)

Introduction

The Research & Development Cell (RDC) of SRM College of Education is dedicated to nurturing a strong research and innovation culture among faculty members and students. The Cell encourages inquiry-based learning, evidence-driven teaching practices, and community-focused research projects.

All initiatives undertaken by the RDC are aligned with the institutional goals, NCTE guidelines, and the academic framework of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU), Jind.
The RDC functions as a central body to facilitate research planning, monitoring, collaborations, and capacity-building activities across the institution.

To foster a culture of research, innovation, and social relevance that contributes to educational advancement, professional growth, and national development.

  • To promote ethical and quality research among faculty and students.
  • To enhance research capacity through training, publications, and collaborative initiatives.
  • To encourage socially relevant research that addresses educational and community needs.
  • To integrate research outcomes with teaching-learning processes for continuous improvement.
Objectives
  • Encourage faculty and students to undertake research projects, surveys, and dissertations.
  • Focus on themes such as teacher education innovation, inclusive practices, gender equity, and sustainable development.
  • Promote publication of research papers, participation in conferences, and dissemination of knowledge.
  • Organize workshops and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) on research methodology and academic writing.
  • Establish linkages with universities, NGOs, and professional bodies for collaborative research.
  • Ensure research integrity, transparency, and adherence to ethical guidelines.

All research projects involving surveys or human subjects adhere to ethical standards and obtain prior approval from the RDC.
Plagiarism checks are mandatory for all faculty and student submissions.
RDC ensures strict compliance with UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism) Regulations, 2018, and NCTE research guidelines.
